VARIETY WA: EMPOWERING KIDS THROUGH LIFE-CHANGING SUPPORT

Variety WA supports kids and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with disability. Their work allowskids to gain mobility, to get out and about in the community, tocommunicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem.

Meet Andre (age 7). Andre lives with autism and has significant sensory needs to allow him to regulate throughout the day. Through your generous support, ToyBox has been able to fund a Vuly Swing set and attachments valued at $2,000. The outcomes of receiving the swing set has supported Andre's overall regulation and provided the sensory input that he needs to calm his nervous system.

Meet Talahni (age 4). She has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and requires full support to complete all self-care, mobility and activities of daily living. Talahni is unable to regulate her temperature and relies on individuals around her and environmental controls to support her maintaining an appropriate temperature, as to not trigger a seizure. Thanks to your support, ToyBox Australia was able to provide an air conditioning unit at $1,965 for Talahni. It has helped to reduce seizure triggers, providing a safer home environment.
